Sitagliptin is a drug whose action is based on regular and long-term use. In most studies, the effects of treatment were measured after 3-6 months of treatment.
Over time, the use of this medicine increases the sensitivity of pancreatic cells to glucose and stimulates glucose-dependent insulin secretion and leads to glucagon secretion that is more glucose-tuned.
