First of all, the concomitant use of these drugs carries a high risk of interactions in the form of dangerous cardiac arrhythmias. If the medicines have been prescribed by different doctors, a consultation is needed to determine whether the medicines can be used concomitantly and, if so, whether there is a need to change the dosage.

With Ecitil, side effects are most common during the first or second week of treatment and usually get worse and more frequent with continued treatment.
Muscle and joint pain often appear as side effects. In addition, as you have rightly noticed, the use of Escitil can cause an excessive increase in serotonin levels in the brain, which may lead to serotonin syndrome.

Serotonin syndrome can develop when the structures of the central nervous system contain too large amounts of one of the neurotransmitters – serotonin. Characteristic symptoms are, m.in, increased sweating, fever (usually high), increased blood pressure, chills, diarrhea and increased heart rate.

Patients with serotonin syndrome may also experience hallucinations, anxiety or even a significant degree of agitation, in addition, muscle tremors, myoclonus (involuntary movements occurring as a result of muscle contraction) and muscle stiffness may also occur.

Joint pain is not an uncommon side effect with Deprexolet.

If you are concerned that the treatment does not bring the desired results, and you have also experienced problems with movement resulting from muscle symptoms, you should immediately inform your attending physician about your observations.

You may need to change the dosage of your medications or change your medications to different ones.
