Fever after the use of alendronate (Ostanil) is not a common side effect, it can happen, especially in combination with other flu-like symptoms. If you develop a fever after taking alendronic acid, it is worth contacting your doctor to rule out other causes of the fever and discuss possible changes in treatment.
