Can the Levosert IUD be inserted one month after delivery?

Do you have a big belly after levosert, you are swollen because since I put the insert on, I have a belly like a balloon. I didn't have one when I was pregnant. Was the month after childbirth the right time to insert an IUD?

Information contained in the summary of product characteristics:

"Postpartum assumption should be postponed until the uterus is completely involuted. Do not insert the system earlier than 6 weeks after delivery. If involution is significantly delayed, consider waiting until 12 weeks postpartum."

Levosert can cause abdominal pain and bloating, as well as swelling and inflammation of the lining of the uterus.

Analyzing the problem - the IUD could have been inserted a little too early (although I assume that this decision was made by the doctor after performing the appropriate tests). You may also not tolerate the preparation very well. Consultation with a gynaecologist is recommended to assess the cause of adverse reactions.

In case of any doubts, I encourage you to use the teleconsultation with a gynaecologist - the service is available on our website in the e-visit tab:
