Hashimoto's, or chronic autoimmune thyroiditis, does not in itself weaken the effectiveness of oral contraceptives such as Vibin Mini. However, the condition of the thyroid gland and the medications used to treat Hashimoto's can affect overall health and metabolism, which could potentially affect the effectiveness of various medications, including contraception. Some medicines used to treat the thyroid gland (e.g. levothyroxine) should be used at an appropriate interval from contraception, e.g. 2-3 hours. Please remain under the supervision of your doctor and do not forget to use contraceptive pills every day, at the same time without skipping.
