Feroplex – can you take two doses at once before breakfast? The leaflet states that it should be taken in two doses, and the doctor recommended 80 mg at a time.

Feroplex is a prescription drug, so you should follow its recommendations closely. According to the leaflet, the recommended dose is 1 to 2 vials per day in two divided doses (which facilitates its absorption), preferably before eating, while the doctor may recommend a different, individual dose due to the information available about the patient's health and the course of the disease. If you are unsure about the recommended dosage, it is important to discuss this with your doctor.

It will be safer to take the drug in divided doses. Taking two vials at once may increase the risk of side effects. If you observe gastrointestinal ailments, e.g. nausea, upper abdominal pain, diarrhoea or constipation, or other disturbing symptoms that will be bothersome and will not go away, you should immediately contact a doctor who will recommend appropriate treatment, e.g. reducing the dose of the drug.
