Nitrazepam is a prescription drug indicated for the short-term treatment of severe insomnia. It should be used according to medical recommendations. Treatment is started at the lowest recommended dose and should not exceed 4 weeks. In adults, one (5 mg) or two (10 mg) tablets are usually taken once a day at bedtime.
