The use of the antibiotic Sumamed during the 7-day break in the use of the contraceptive pill Microgynon 21 will not affect the contraceptive efficacy. If you do not take the tablets, the antibiotic has no way to affect the absorption or metabolism of the hormones contained in the tablets and thus will not interfere with the anti-prescription protection.
