Can you use Thionerv 600 having diabetes?
A neurologist recommended my brother Thionerv 600 mg. My brother has stage 1 diabetes, insulin resistance and often hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia. Is he allowed to use this drug and is this dose not too high? Unfortunately, he will see a diabetologist in 2 months.

Diabetes mellitus is not a contraindication to the use of Thionerv 600.
However, it should be borne in mind that the use of this preparation may increase the effect of antidiabetic drugs (insulin and other oral antidiabetic drugs). For this reason, regular glycemic control is recommended, especially at the beginning. If a decrease in glycemia is observed, it is worth consulting a doctor to reduce the dose of Thionerv.
