Is the draining of a small amount of Pronasal down the throat poses a health risk?

Can negative side effects in the throat/gastrointestinal tract occur when swallowing Pronasal? Preparations sprayed into my nose always flow down my throat as well. Can you snot your nose right after spraying?

Pronasal (mometasone furoate) is a corticosteroid used in the form of a nasal spray to treat allergy symptoms such as hay fever. Sometimes, when using a nasal spray, it may happen that a small amount of medicine flows down the throat. If a small amount of the drug is left there, it should not cause serious side effects.

If you experience an unpleasant taste or irritation after the medication has drained down your throat, you can rinse your mouth and throat with water to relieve these symptoms.

Please also follow the correct nasal spray application technique – this will help minimise the risk. In my opinion, snotting the nose immediately after applying the drug is not a good idea - the preparation must be absorbed in time.
