I was advised to take two tablets of Clatra 20 mg a day. Can I take two pills at once or take one in the morning and the other in the evening?

Bilastine (contained in Clatra) is an antihistamine used to treat allergy symptoms such as hay fever and hives. The standard dose of bilastine for adults and children over 12 years of age is 20 mg once a day.
Taking 40 mg of bilastine per day will not increase the effectiveness of the drug and may increase the risk of side effects such as drowsiness, headache, dizziness or dry mouth. If in doubt or need to adjust the dose, only the prescribing physician will be best able to advise you, taking into account your medical condition and individual needs. In my opinion, the drug should be used in accordance with the provision in the SmPC - in the amount of 1 tablet per day.
