Good morning. My 5-year-old daughter is recommended by an ENT specialist for use in case of runny nose and thick secretion of Pulnozin syrup. On the other hand, the pediatrician prescribed Rupafin and stated that these syrups have a similar effect and should not be combined? Should I give up giving my daughter any of them?

Pulnozin and Rupafin have completely different compositions and different effects. These drugs can be combined with each other.
Pulnozin contains carbocysteine - a substance with a mucolytic effect. It dilutes the residual secretion and facilitates its removal from the respiratory tract. The last dose can be given to the child no later than 4-5 hours before bedtime. Do not give this medicine at night as this may cause you to have a coughing attack at night.
Rupafin contains rupatadine - an anti-allergic substance. More here:
