Good morning. I have a heart condition and have started Maviret therapy. The cardiologist told me that it is compatible and there is no need to stop cardioaspirin.

Yes, you can combine these drugs in therapy, especially if the medications are used as prescribed by your doctor.

Maviret (glecaprevir + pibrentasvir) does not interact with Cardioaspirin in patients with heart disease.

Maviret is an antiviral medicine used to treat chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. The package leaflet tells you that you should tell your doctor about all the medicines you are taking, including cardiac medicines, before starting treatment with Maviret. However, there is no mention of the need to discontinue cardioaspirin during Maviret therapy.

If this situation raises doubts for you, it is always worth consulting a doctor who can provide more personalized advice. If you are not able to make a face-to-face visit, I attach a link to the online teleconsultation:

You can check the availability of Maviret through the shops and book it at the pharmacy of your choice and pick it up after showing your prescription: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/98948/maviret-tabletki-powlekane/apteki
