Does the order in which contraceptive pills are taken matter?

If the contraceptive pill is taken on the wrong day, which is indicated on the blister, for example, on Wednesday, drunk on Tuesday. What actions need to be taken?

It depends on what pills you take. Medicines such as monophasic combined contraceptive pills (i.e. all with the same composition) or single-component pills do not need to be taken in the order of the blister. Marking the days is to help the patient maintain regular use of the drug. The exception is placebo tablets, which do not contain the active ingredient and are taken during the bleeding break.

In the case of tablets with variable composition (e.g. Qlaira), the order matters and then - in case of a mistake - the procedure should be implemented in accordance with the recommendations in the leaflet.

If you have any doubts, I encourage you to use the teleconsultation with a gynecologist:
