Taking Biosterone (which contains DHEA, i.e. dehydroepiandrosterone) after insertion of a hormonal IUD is not normally contraindicated, but requires consultation with a doctor.

Hormonal IUDs release levonorgestrel, a synthetic progestin that acts locally in the uterus to reduce the risk of pregnancy and affect menstrual bleeding.

Biosterone, which is a dietary supplement containing DHEA, has a systemic effect and can affect hormone levels in the body. The combination of the two methods can lead to hormonal interactions that can affect the effectiveness of one or both therapies and overall health.

Therefore, before continuing to take Biosterone after the insertion of the hormonal IUD, it is best to consult your gynecologist.

Your doctor will be able to assess whether this combination is safe and appropriate for you, taking into account your individual health situation and needs.
