If you missed 3 days of taking the pill, it is likely that your contraceptive protection may be reduced. Taking more (3) contraceptive pills in one day may increase the risk of side effects such as headache, abdominal pain, nausea and spotting, but does not affect contraceptive protection.
In this case, take the last missed tablet as soon as possible and continue taking the next tablets at the usual time. In addition, a barrier method of contraception (e.g. a condom) should be used for the next 7 days.
If you have had intercourse in the last 7 days, pregnancy should be ruled out. Confirmation of the lack of pregnancy can be a pregnancy test performed about 10 days after intercourse:
