Trittico is an antidepressant that can be used long-term. However, after a longer period of use, the phenomenon of tolerance may occur, i.e. a weakening of the effect of the drug. If this happens, your doctor may decide to change your dose or change your medicine.

As for the harmfulness of long-term use, there is no clear evidence of serious side effects with long-term therapy. Nevertheless, like any drug, Trittico carries a risk of side effects, especially with long-term use. These may include, for example, cognitive disorders, drowsiness, orthostatic hypotension in the elderly. Therefore, it is important to monitor the patient's condition regularly and adjust the dose by the doctor.
