Can withdrawal bleeding be scanty and short? I've been taking pills for 3 years, I've never missed one, I haven't used preparations that reduce effectiveness. Now I had bleeding for only 2 days and on one and the second day only a brown stain on the sanitary pad (nothing on paper). Is there anything to be afraid of?:(

Withdrawal bleeding can vary in intensity depending on the cycle, and the occurrence of minor bleeding is not a cause for concern. Withdrawal bleeding is the shedding of the lining of the uterus caused by the withdrawal of hormones for the duration of the placebo break/use. Since one of the mechanisms of action of hormonal contraception is to limit endometrial growth, often (although not always) bleeding when using this method may be less heavy. Bleeding often becomes less heavy if the patient uses the contraceptive pill for a long time (the endometrium becomes thinner than at the beginning of use). Lower intensity and volume of bleeding causes the blood to stay in the genital tract longer, become oxidized to a greater extent and may have a darker color.
