Why are there no Azisartans or Eprosartans in Poland?

Good morning. Why are there neither asysartans nor eprosartans in Poland? They are essential for many people, very necessary for many people. For some people, these are the drugs of choice, others do not help. Do we really have to buy them in other countries for life?

The lack of Azylsartan and Eprosartan on the Polish pharmaceutical market is probably due to the decision of pharmaceutical companies not to market these drugs in Poland. The reasons for such a decision may vary, e.g. the economic unprofitability of introducing these drugs to our market or the lack of interest on the part of doctors and patients.

Azylsartan and Eprosartan belong to the group of sartans, i.e. drugs that block the angiotensin II receptor. They are mainly used to treat hypertension, but also in heart failure and kidney disease. For some patients, they may indeed be the drugs of choice when other drugs in this group or other groups of antihypertensive drugs are not effective or are poorly tolerated.

As it stands, people requiring Azilsartan or Eprosartan therapy can bring them from abroad as part of the targeted import procedure. We wrote more about it here:
