I used Ginoring for 1.5 years. Now I had a year off. I started taking the ring again about 2 weeks ago. I don't remember it the first time, but now my skin has deteriorated a lot, it looks like acne. I haven't changed my face cosmetics, I still take care of it as always. Is it a side effect that is simply the result of a shock to the body and the fact that it has to get used to it? Could it be a permanent side effect?

The use of hormonal contraceptives such as Ginoring can affect the condition of the skin, including causing or worsening acne symptoms. This is probably the result of hormonal changes in the body, which has to get used to taking the hormones contained in the disc again.
After a break from the use of hormonal contraceptives, the body needs time to adjust again to the new dose of hormones. This can lead to temporary skin problems such as acne.
Usually, side effects such as acne severity are temporary and disappear after a few months of regular use of the disc. Therefore, it should not be expected that this will be a permanent side effect. The body should adapt to the new hormone levels, and the condition of the skin should normalize.
