I'm taking Trittico 150mg for insomnia, but I'm still sleeping too little - should I change my medication?

I have been taking Trittico for 6 weeks, the dosage is 150 mg, prescribed for insomnia, which lasts about three years. I began to fall asleep better, I don't wake up at night, but sleep lasts only 6 hours, I used to need 8 hours as a miimum. Do I need to change the dosage or change the drug?

If you still experience discomfort related to too little sleep, it is advisable to consult a specialist again. After 6 weeks from the start of treatment, patients usually feel a significant improvement in well-being. You may need a different medication, but it is worth remembering about good habits related to preparing for sleep (e.g. limiting the use of TV, computer, phone) and natural sleep aids such as lemon balm or valerian.
