The first prescription must be issued by a doctor experienced in this type of therapy - an experienced endocrinologist.
Continuation of treatment at the request of an endocrinologist may take place under the supervision of a family doctor. This means that subsequent prescriptions can be issued by a family doctor, provided that the appropriate documentation is obtained from the endocrinologist.
