Hello, I have a question, I have been taking setaloft 50 mg for a week, first I took a quarter after two days, half and now the whole pill because I was afraid... Is it possible that I have more panic attacks, heaviness in breathing as before and such palpitations in the chest, like anxiety, even though my heart rate and blood pressure are normal, or could it be due to the pills I take? Treatment with Setaloft begins with low doses, which are gradually increased. The risk of side effects is then the lowest.
Regimen described in the summary of product characteristics:
"Treatment should be started at a dose of 25 mg per day. After one week, the dose may be increased to 50 mg once daily. This dosing regimen has shown a reduction in the incidence of adverse reactions in the initial phase of panic disorder treatment."
These symptoms may appear in the first days of increasing the dose. At the beginning of the treatment, patients very often observe a deterioration in well-being, both physical and mental. After about 2 weeks, the situation should improve; The first effects of treatment can also be observed. If the situation does not change, a consultation with a psychiatrist is recommended. Sometimes it is necessary to use additional medications to alleviate the initial ailments.
