Can I stop Xigduo if I have a fungal infection?

I have been taking Xigduo 5/1000 mg for 4 weeks. Now I discovered a fungus this morning. Should I take Metformin Solo until it wears off, or maybe cut Xigduo in half?

Fungal infection is one of the side effects that can occur with Xigduo. The drug should not be discontinued on its own or the dose should not be changed by dividing the preparation in half. Such a procedure may lead to insufficient glycemic control.
If you have ringworm, you should see a doctor to determine the appropriate treatment. If you experience frequent fungal infections while taking Xigduo, you should report it to your doctor to discuss your continued use.
