My doctor recommended Trisequens for PCOS. I am 22 years old. I just read it is for menopause so i was confused. Can it treat PCOS?

Although Trisequens is not approved for the treatment of hormonal deficiencies in PCOS, its ingredients estradiol and norethisterone can be taken by women with polycystic ovary syndrome.
In PCOS, the production of estradiol decreases, for this reason the concentration of SHGB decreases, the availability of free androgens increases - to prevent them, it is recommended to take drugs with estradiol.
Norethisterone additionally stabilizes the endometrium, which further supports the treatment of PCOS symptoms.
This is the so-called "OFF-Label" treatment, i.e. outside the indications contained in the drug leaflet. More here:
