To @Gosia:
Alcohol does not affect the effectiveness of Evra patches. It can be consumed and protection will be maintained.

Can I drink alcohol with Evra contraception? Does drinking alcohol, e.g. once a week in larger quantities, affect effectiveness?

No, drinking one beer an hour before taking the pill will not adversely affect its effectiveness as long as drinking alcohol did not contribute to vomiting occurring 3-4 hours after taking the drug. If they did not happen, there is no reason to worry. Remember to always take your medication with water, take it at the same time every day without skipping.
