EllaOne does not provide long-term protection against pregnancy – it works on the intercourse that took place before you took it, but it does not protect future intercourse. So there is a risk of pregnancy if you have had another unprotected sex about 4.5 hours after taking the EllaOne tablet.
If you want to avoid the risk of pregnancy, you should use another method of contraception, such as condoms or hormonal contraceptives.
