Good morning, I'm about to change my medication from Elicea to Bupropion. Your doctor recommended that you take each medication every other day for the first two weeks. Alternately, overlapping. Won't such a combination cause additional side effects?

These drugs belong to different groups and affect other neurotransmitters, so there is no immediate risk of pharmacologically relevant interactions (e.g. serotonin syndrome). The proposed procedure for changing the treatment is due, I believe, to the clinical experience of the doctor treating you. Presumably, this strategy is to allow Bupropion to start working smoothly and to minimize the risk of withdrawal symptoms after stopping taking Elicea. In case of any doubts, I encourage you to consult your doctor directly.
