Good morning
For anxiety, I was given Aciprex 10mg.
I also take propranolol 10mg for rapid heartbeat
Well I'm taking callipoz prolongatum.
And my question is, can I take the aforementioned drugs at the same time without being afraid of the interaction between them?
And is Aciprex a safe drug to use?

Thank you for the information.
The doctor said I could take Aciprex and propranolol at the same time and nothing would happen.
And I'm afraid of taking this medication if my blood pressure won't drop too much.

Aciprex - like any drug - has specific contraindications and may cause side effects (which, of course, does not mean that every patient will experience side effects after taking the preparation). Aciprex should not be used for certain heart rhythm problems. In addition, the first stage of the treatment may cause a temporary deterioration of mood, which disappears spontaneously after about 10-14 days; This is when patients also begin to feel the first effects of the drug.
Some SSRI antidepressants may have an effect on the effects of Propranolol, but studies indicate that escitalopram (the active ingredient in Aciprex) has the least effect on the metabolism of Propranolol. Caution is recommended at the beginning of the treatment (frequent monitoring of blood pressure and pulse) and taking medication at other times of the day.
