Can a Hungarian e-prescription be dispensed in Poland?

In order to be able to fill a prescription from another EU country in Poland, including Hungary, the following requirements must be met:

1. The patient must inform the doctor that they want to fill the prescription in another country, as e-prescriptions can only be filled in the country where they were issued.

2. The prescription can be in both paper and electronic form (e-prescription).

3. The prescription must contain relevant information such as: patient's full name, date of birth, date of prescription, details of the prescribing physician (full name, professional qualifications, contact details).

4. Sometimes, even if the prescription meets all the criteria, the medicine will not be redeemed. A prescription can only be filled in accordance with the rules in force in the respective country.
