Hello, I would like to ask what the results of a complete blood count in a 57-year-old man mean, when the MONO in percentage is 13.8% and the EO% is 7.1%. But below in MONO# indicates the norm, the same indicates in EO#. The rest of the results are normal. Does this mean cancer, or could it be caused by stress or heart disease? At night and during the day there are shortness of breath, weakness.

A slight deviation from the norm may indicate, for example, an active infection, a recent infection (e.g. runny nose), allergy, inflammation, stress, asthma or COPD, etc.
There are many reasons for this, so the result of the test should be consulted with the doctor who ordered it.
Sometimes the result of the test is influenced by certain medications, e.g. steroids. These deviations are normal, e.g. in the case of patients with heart disease or after a heart attack. Therefore, it is all the more important to consult your doctor. If the other results are normal, do not assume serious causes, such as cancer or other serious medical conditions.
Sometimes the reasons can be trivial, such as inadequate hydration.
If you do not have the opportunity to consult your doctor, you can use the teleconsultation here:
