The occurrence of malaise and flushing of the face is most likely the result of a disulfiram reaction, which occurred by combining Anticol with alcohol.
Alcohol should not be consumed while using Anticol due to the possibility of life-threatening symptoms. Disulfiram reactions often occur within 15 minutes after ingestion of ethyl alcohol, symptoms usually peak within 30 minutes to 1 hour and then gradually subside over the next few hours. If your symptoms persist over time or worsen, you should see a doctor.
