Can intestinal symptoms (loose light-coloured stools) be caused by infectious erythema?
9.99 zł

Hello, I am taking Betaloc zok 25 on a regular basis. For the past 6 days I have had loose stools with varying frequency, light/yellow in color. AST increased by 20, ALT normal. My daughter brought infectious erythema from school, which looks similar to me. Could intestinal symptoms be caused by this erythema?
Over a month ago, an ultrasound showed fatty liver, but probably not very big. Please reply.

To @Luk52:

Side effects of Timohep include, m.in, nausea and skin reactions. Diarrhea and abdominal pain are not mentioned.

In case the diarrhea does not go away, I encourage you to consult a doctor.

Intestinal symptoms are unlikely to be caused by infectious erythema that my daughter brought home from school.

Infectious erythema in adults is mild, in many cases asymptomatic. It may also be accompanied by flu-like symptoms, such as sore throat, runny nose, sometimes muscle pain, nausea, watery runny nose.

A yellowish colour of the stool should be reported to the doctor, as it may require further diagnostics in combination with other clinical signs. Light-colored stools in adults can be caused by liver or pancreatic diseases. If light stools are accompanied by yellow skin, itching or dark urine, then it is called cholestasis. Cholestasis is an increase in the concentration of bile acids, which are accumulated in the body as a result of their impaired outflow.

In this situation, I encourage you to make an appointment with your doctor, who will adjust the treatment according to your current clinical condition. As an outsider, I am not in a position to give you individual medical advice on the basis of a brief description alone.
