Etoricoxib (the active ingredient in Doloxib) is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to treat pain and inflammation such as arthritis in osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis. In fact, most people report a lack of appetite rather than an increase in it with NSAIDs, although reactions to medications can vary from person to person.

Etoricoxib can cause side effects such as swelling, nausea, headache and dizziness, but weight gain is not common. If you notice significant changes in your body weight or have symptoms related to the possible effects of etoricoxib on appetite or metabolism, I recommend that you consult your doctor. Your doctor will be able to accurately assess your situation and adjust your treatment if necessary.
