Is it normal for withdrawal bleeding to last longer than before when using Evra?

Hello! Is it normal for withdrawal bleeding to last 7 days? Despite the fact that my period always lasted about 4 days. I have been using the patch for more than a year, there were no problems during the last examinations. But what could be the reason for the increase in duration?

The use of hormonal contraception may cause changes in the cycle picture, including changes in the length of the period. The use of Evra patches (and any other hormonal contraception) changes the concentration of individual hormones in the woman's body, which may cause side effects (including prolonged bleeding, spotting, etc.).

Theoretically, 7 days of bleeding is within the physiological norm and if it is not accompanied by alarming signals (excessive bleeding, severe pain, hemorrhages), there is no need to consult a gynecologist.
