I've been taking birth control pills for 2 weeks and after my period has ended for 6 days I have had slight bleeding - is this normal?

I started taking birth control pills, I have been taking them for two weeks, after the end of menstruation, minor bleeding has been going on for six days. Can you please tell me if this is the norm?

In the first months of using the contraceptive pill, spotting and mid-cycle bleeding may occur. The body needs time to "adapt" to the hormonal changes that occur under the influence of the hormones contained in birth control pills. This is not a cause for concern.
