How do I properly switch from Yaz to Slinda?
9.99 zł

I'm taking Yaz pills. The doctor recommended Slinda for single-component migraines. How do you smoothly transition from one to the other? Should I start taking Slinda after the last placebo pill? Is it after the last active one? Thank you for the information

There are two ways of proceeding, and both are correct. According to the Summary of Product Characteristics:

1) The patient should start taking Slinda, preferably the day after taking the last active tablet (last active tablet) of the combined oral contraceptive used so far. In these cases, it is not necessary to use additional contraceptive methods.

2) The patient may also start taking Slinda no later than the day after the end of the usual pill stop after taking placebo tablets of the existing combined contraceptive, but in these cases it is recommended that an additional barrier method of contraception be used for the first 7 days of taking the pill.

So if you don't want to use an additional method of contraception, I recommend that you take the first tablet of Slinda after taking the last active tablet of Yaz.
