Hi I've been taking Loette birth control pills for two years. I suffer from IBS so I often have stomach problems, but as a rule I go to the bathroom even several times a day and sometimes these stools are softer than usual, but not watery like almost transparent here and anyway I try a little. So I wanted to understand well when I should take another Loette tablet in the case of discharges, i.e. how and how many should these discharges be?

The disease itself is not a contraindication to the use of hormonal contraception. However, if the disease is accompanied by frequent diarrhoea, the effectiveness of contraception may be reduced. According to the World Health Organization, diarrhoea is the passing of at least 3 loose or watery stools per day.
The effectiveness of contraception may be reduced by diarrhoea up to 4 hours after taking the pill.
