Hello. She uses the contraceptive pill Qlaira. I've never missed a pill. Recently, vomiting occurred 1.5 hours after taking it (I take it at 6 p.m.). It got better later on, then at 2 a.m. I took another one from the next day and at 6 p.m. another one and since then I've been taking it regularly. If I had sex 6 days after the event, is the protection maintained?

Yes, intercourse was secured. However, in the future, it is advisable to use tablets from an additional blister in such situations so as not to shorten the cycle of using the tablets.

Vomiting occurred with the 2nd or 3rd tablet. He uses combined tablets. So I understand that the intercourse was secured?

In these situations, it would be best to use a tablet from a spare blister.

If you take two tablets the next day, you run out of medication and your cycle will be shortened by one day, which in the case of tablets 1 to 24 may affect the effectiveness and reduce it for the next 9 days - then intercourse 6 days after vomiting may not be protected.

Here you can find more information about Qlaira and book it at the pharmacy:

Most likely, you did the right thing and the intercourse was secured. Which blister tablet did you vomit?
