Hello, my 5-year-old daughter has been taking Urotrim 100 for a few days exactly since Thursday 8.02 and since yesterday 12.02 she complains of pain when urinating, both bladder and burning, is it caused by this drug? We have been prescribed this medication by a urologist after recurrent episodes with continuous peeing for up to 5 minutes. We take this medication for 3 months reducing the dose.

Rather, the described symptoms are related to an ongoing urinary tract infection.
Urotrim is a powerful antibacterial drug, but it takes time to achieve this effect.
If symptoms worsen during therapy, it is always necessary to consult the attending physician or family doctor, especially in the case of a child. Your doctor may prescribe an additional medication/change your dosage or even your medication.
The duration of treatment is determined by the doctor individually for each patient. In the case of recurrent urinary tract infections, Urotrim is usually used for 3-6 months, if the doctor deems it necessary - even 2 years.
