Can the first two doses of Bactrim be given to a child at 4-hour intervals?
Bactrim syrup can be given the first 2 doses 4 hours apart and then the next every 12 it is about a 4 year old

Do not proceed in this way. A longer interval between doses should be maintained, e.g. 8 hours on the first day (if the time of administration needs to be adjusted), then every 12 hours.
