Do a few loose stools (not diarrhea) 2 hours after taking the Vines contraceptive pill reduce its effectiveness? Don't you have to take the second one?

Diarrhoea is defined as passing stool with an excessively loose consistency – semi-liquid, liquid or watery stool with increased frequency – three or more times a day.
In this situation, "a few loose stools" can affect the effectiveness of birth control pills. If loose stools occur less than 3-4 hours after taking the tablet, take another pill immediately. Additional security is not needed in such a situation. If you have not taken an extra pill, your contraceptive protection may be reduced. In this case, you should use an additional protection device (condom) for the next 7 days.
Illness with diarrhoea limits the effectiveness of contraceptives. This can prevent the ingredients in the pill from being absorbed, so they won't be able to counteract pregnancy.
If you are concerned about this situation, it is always a good idea to consult a doctor who can give you more personalized advice. If you do not have the opportunity to take advantage of the advice, I am attaching a link to the online teleconsultation:
