For hypertension I take Candepres 16 mg and tertensif sr in the morning and Primacor and Doxar in the evening. I've had a red very itchy rash on my face for over a year now, now on the inside of my hand and foot. The doctor replaced me with Polsart 80 for candapres, but it didn't help. Is Primacor causing these changes? Or is there such an effect in combination with doxar? The pulmonologist did skin tests for me, I had prick tests 3 years ago and there are no positive results. Please reply.

Primacor and Xartan are medicines indicated for the treatment of high blood pressure, but they contain different active substances that have different mechanisms of action.
Such a change of medication can only be made by a doctor, the profession of a pharmacist does not have the right to change medications prescribed by a doctor.
Please tell me if I can replace Primacor with the xartan I was taking before and see if there will still be hives? I have an appointment with a cardiologist in 2 months. Best regards.

One of the side effects of Primacor is the occurrence of itching and rashes. This has been reported uncommon, i.e. may affect more than 1 in 100 people but may affect more than 1 in 1000. Rash has also been reported as an adverse reaction with Doxar, Tertensif and Polsart.
Skin lesions should be consulted with a dermatologist, they may be related to the medications you are taking, or the cause of the rash may be unrelated to current pharmacotherapy.
