Is it possible to mistakenly take a double dose of Erdomed can be dangerous ?
Hello. I have a question. Today at 4:00 p.m. I took 'Erdomed' and at 5:00 p.m. I was supposed to take a probiotic and I mixed up the packages and took 'Erdomed' again, could that harm me? I've read that the interval between doses should be from 6-8 hours.

A single situation in which you have taken the same medication by mistake should not pose a risk.
Erdomed is a medicine that acts as an expectorant, thins secretions and stimulates the cough reflex. Therefore, it is not recommended to take it in the evening. The only effect of using the drug twice may be an increased expectorant effect, as well as an increase in the risk of side effects.
Gastrointestinal adverse reactions such as heartburn, nausea and diarrhoea have been reported in a few cases following administration of erdosteine. In a few cases, dysgeusia or loss of taste has been reported at the start of treatment. In rare cases, skin rashes, hives, fever may occur.
