Good morning. I'm beginning to doubt the competence of some doctors.
I'm coming back from the doctor with a three-year-old child. He prescribed a child for a viral infection manifested by cough and runny nose: levopront 3 times a day for 3 ml and pulmozin 2 times for 5 ml. I don't know all the drugs by name, but I have a habit of reading leaflets. And in my opinion, these two drugs should not be combined at the same time. Can I use pulmozin during the day and levopront at night? Please let me know. And I guess we need to change the family doctor.

Pulnozin is an expectorant that is indicated for use when a productive cough occurs. This syrup thins the secretion and makes it easier to cough up. Levopront, on the other hand, inhibits the cough reflex and is used when there is a dry cough.
These preparations are antagonistic to each other, so they are not used at the same time. However, it is possible to use Levopront and Pulnozin during the same treatment, keeping a time interval and administering Pulnozin during the day to facilitate expectoration of residual secretions, and before bedtime Levopron to relieve the cough reflex and make it easier to fall asleep and prevent waking up by coughing.
