What is the chance that Escapelle worked?
The last period began on 31.12.2023, the cycles usually last 30-32 days, in January the moment of ovulation according to the calendar falls on January 15, but the fertile days began on the 11th. On January 12, during my fertile days, I had interrupted intercourse, and after 20 hours I managed to escapelle. After 5 days, there was a slight bleeding, which has been going on for the fifth day. Is there a good chance that the pill might not have worked?

Taking the "morning after pill" quickly enough (in the case of Escapelle within 72 hours) is an effective method of contraception in emergency situations, but it is not a 100% reliable method. The rate of pregnancies despite the use of emergency contraception is approximately 2% (2 out of 100 women become pregnant). However, it must be taken into account that the probability of pregnancy is influenced by various factors, such as: the time that has passed between intercourse and taking the pill, the phase of the woman's cycle in which intercourse occurred, the age of the partners and their overall fertility. For this reason, it is not possible to give a clear answer to the question of what the risk of pregnancy is in an individual case.
Confirmation of the absence of pregnancy can be a pregnancy test performed about 10 days after intercourse:
