Do I have to take a banana after Kreon?

I had a Whipple surgery and read that you don't have to swallow Creon when you eat a banana. My internist says that's not true. Who's right?

Creon should be used as directed by your doctor.
It is usually recommended to take the medicine during or immediately after a meal (regardless of what you have eaten).

According to the manufacturer:

"Dosage should be tailored to individual needs depending on the severity of the disease and the composition of the food. Treatment should be started at the lowest recommended dose and the dose should be increased gradually, closely monitoring the effects on the patient, symptoms and nutritional status. The patient should be instructed not to increase the dose on their own. A change in dosage may require a few days of adjustment period."

Kreon can also be purchased online with delivery.

Here you can compare its prices in online pharmacies and make an order with home delivery or pickup at the pharmacy:
