At the outset, it should be noted that Rantudil Forte and Glucophage XR are prescription drugs, so the appropriateness and need for their simultaneous use should be determined by a doctor. So please follow your doctor's instructions. As a pharmacist, I can only give you general information:
Concomitant use of metformin and acemethotin may cause an excessive increase in the level of lactic acid in the blood. This is a rare but very serious side effect that occurs especially in the elderly, with kidney or liver problems, in dehydration and in people who abuse alcohol.
If medications have been prescribed by different doctors, a consultation is advisable to determine whether these medications are to be used simultaneously. Tell your doctor about any symptoms you may be looking for, especially if you experience severe weakness, muscle pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, shortness of breath, rapid breathing, or cardiac arrhythmias.
If you do not have the opportunity to consult your doctor, you can use the teleconsultation here:

In this case, there is no need to take a protective drug, because none of the mentioned drugs will have a negative effect on the mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal tract.
The GdziePoLek.pl service also allows you to book the medicine at a selected stationary pharmacy and collect it after presenting a prescription:
