Before getting tested for parasites or any other laboratory tests, it is always important to tell your doctor about all medications you are taking, including lactulose syrup. Although lactulose should not directly affect the results of parasite tests, there is always the possibility that certain substances may affect the results of laboratory tests depending on the type of test and laboratory procedures. In my opinion, the use of the drug should be discontinued before the examination.
