Good morning, I would have a question. I take Normeg for epilepsy in the morning and evening. At 7 a.m. I took the first dose of the drug, but I didn't take it for the evening. Will the midnight medication still work and I will be able to drink alcohol in celebration of the New Year? Please reply.

The half-life of levetiracetam with Normeg is about 7h. Only after about 35 hours the concentration of the drug in the blood is close to zero and the drug will not interact with alcohol. Do not stop your treatment with Normeg to drink alcohol. We wrote more about this in the opinion:
